What are you listening to?
Everything else, basically.

For some reason (maybe because I like them?) I've been listening to a lot of Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show lately. Fun fact: a lot of their songs were written by Shel Silverstein (including this one).

This just in: The Foreign Exchange is now Grammy-nominated, if you care about that sort of thing.
I never thought I'd find a producer that reminded me of Trevor Horn, but Nicolay totally does. Good good stuff.

Hooray! I know several of these guys!
FWIW, I'm not an Xtian, but this is some of the most lovely music ever. Not musicians' fault that the money often comes from the church. And I won't mention the number of Sunday mornings the a capella stylings of the cathedral du jour were affected by the debauchery of the Saturday before...
And, if you are an Xtian and not self-righteous or proselytizing, have at it. Golden Rule rules.

I LOVE Chanticleer! I have "A Wondrous Love" and it makes me so happy.
Also, I'm listening to this:

"Fall Be Kind" - Animal Collective
I think this is the best one yet...

i've only looked at this thread a few times, but i thought i would share the cds i just got with a gift certificate to best buy. there was plenty of stuff they didnt have naturally being a pop clearinghouse, but i'm looking forward to the poppy fringe stuff i did get.
Lyle Lovett Anthology - If I Had a Boat keeps popping up on my Pandora and I can't stop singing it, and I own no Lyle.
Bobby Digital DIGI Snacks - I love the RZA and i laughed out loud when I read the sticker on the front - "The definitive and most focused album in the Bobby Digital trilogy" - RZA [anyone with enough balls and sense of humor to put their own quote on their album is a winner in my book]
Raekwon's new album - because Bill said it is amazing. i don't own a lot of non-RZA wu albums.
Donald Lawrence presents the Tri-City Singers Finale - if you're going own a live Gospel record, might as well make it an obvious one.
Steve Martin's The Crow - original banjo songs by Steve Martin, hello!
Tom Waits Glitter and Doom Live - I don't know anything about Tom Waits except that he's crazy. What clenched it for me was the included second disc entitled simply 'Tom Tales' - Cannot wait for that.
Neil Young's debut solo album - slowly easing my way into his old stuff.
