No chance of getting gels?acrouch wrote:# Lighting instruments
1. make a list of how many lamps (bulbs) we need and on which instruments
2. order new lamps
3. pull out working instruments from under the upstairs booth and hang them
4. figure out if we can use any of the lamps we have

here are some list items we came up with in our meeting earlier this evening.
- paint the risers black in both theatres.
- take a microphone inventory. # of mics, cables, and stands.
- paint all benches and chairs black.
- don't worry about painting the stages.
- put a black drop over the center door in between the set and the door in the upstairs space to cover the more upstage doorway.
- please please please clean the men's room downstairs. i know it's not technically our turf, but our customers use it and it's really disgusting.
- take the projector screen down in the upstairs theatre.
- clean the backstage of the upstairs theatre.
- take down the x-mas lights in the upstairs.
- devise, purchase supplies for, and install a sweet, consistent system of signage for the box office, locations of theatres, and maybe even the bathrooms.
- paint the back wall of upstairs light booth black.
- paint back wall of upstairs theatre black.
- move the lobby piano under the risers.
- update the poster box just outside the front door downstairs.
- curtainize the ends of the risers in the upstairs space.
- bring raid or some other insect killing spray and spray one of those bugs whenever you see one.
- install new set of wipe boards and toss the old one.
- throw away all permanent markers in the building.
- hide the giant die in the classroom.
- vacuum or steam clean any seat with a clothy cushion in both theatres.
thanks, ya'll. let's get her in shape for the fall and oob.

Thanks to everyone for the metric crap-ton of stuff that got done this past weekend. The Hideout looks fantastic.
Notably, we have a new, fully functional toilet in the freshly cleaned upstairs bathroom thanks to Joanna "Handychick" Cash. Do YOU need a new toilet? Throw her some business at http://www.handychicks.com/
And Arthur of ColdTowne fixed the missing ceiling panel and cracked, chipping corner at the bottom of the stairwell. Shows and classes at http://coldtowne.com/Coldtowne_theater.
Jason Vines rewired the upstairs and downstairs light booths. Don't mess them up or he'll come after you.
And everyone else too numerous to single out did many many essential things and are owed an eternal debt of thanks.
But of course there's always more to do. So if you have any spare time over the next couple weeks and you'd like to pitch in a little extra after the fact, you could:
-Sweep the classroom (moving all the stuff away from the walls to do so)
-Mop the classroom
-Wipe down the walls and baseboards in the classroom
-Add music to the upstairs light booth computer
-Organize the iTunes on the upstairs light booth computer
-Work with Sean to get the Hideout wireless working again (email me and I'll put you in touch with him)
-Mount the new white boards in the classroom greenroom (make sure to find studs; they're heavy)
-Paint the new panel and corner at the bottom of the stairwell (the red paint and painting supplies are in the classroom utility closet)
