There are a whole bunch of matrix that go into deciding who is in the cast, I need students, I need core cast that is used to maestro and are willing to give the show what it needs rather than just focus on their scene, I need fun ass guests that we don't see all the time. I really like to cast a blend of people who will work well off each other and contrast nicely to have a well rounded show. I certainly want to make sure that there are women in the show. But I don't just want to throw people in just for their gender and make the cast unbalanced.
If anyone has any questions about their own casting or not casting, I'm fine with letting you know my reasons.
