THEORIES FOR NEXT SEASON
Written in white so that you do not have to read them. If you do want to read them, highlight it.

1. Just like the explosion of the first hatch gave Desmond those time-jumping powers, the moving of the island will have released a similar effect. I suspect that it has now endowed the Oceanic survivors with the same abilities as Ben's old crew (you know the whispery stealth stuff). They are officially inducted which is why in three years, they never left.

2. I think Widmore use to run things on the island, possibly as far back as Black Rock, and he had to move the island and that is why he is so desperate to get back. Though as Ben said, you can't.

3. Locke showing up dead suggests that Ben wants to go back and fill that void and is using the Oceanic 6.

Jeremy Bentham has something else interesting going for him.

The proposal for a prison called the Panopticon.

"Panopticon is a type of prison building designed by English philosopher Jeremy Bentham in 1785. The concept of the design is to allow an observer to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) prisoners without the prisoners being able to tell whether they are being watched, thereby conveying what one architect has called the 'sentiment of an invisible omniscience.'"

Bentham himself described the Panopticon as 'a new mode of obtaining power of mind over mind, in a quantity hitherto without example.'"

Make of that what you will.

White-colored spoilery prediction
I don't think Locke is dead in the same way that Christian Shephard is dead (or as Obi-Wan Kenobi is dead). I think he's either going to be full-on resurrected, or there's another Locke created through time travel. After all, Locke was just introduced to the Orchid video, which is probably the same one that goes on to show that the time machine duplicated the #15 rabbit.

Not only did it duplicate the rabbit, but then had Hallowax (a character I really want to see make a live appearance) freaked out about them coming into contact with each other (a la TimeCop).

The Panopticon is an amazing concept that I've used in the past as a high school debate coach to explain the concept of disciplinary power. Why use boring old top-down plenary power when you can have the people control themselves? Michel Foucault writes a ton about it, if interested.

Spoilery...

Some of you Lostie power thinkers might be ahead of me on this one, but... I just realized that we've seen what happens to Ben right after he turns the Big Wheel. He ends up in the desert, in a parka, treating the arm that he hurt from falling off the ladder.

I forgot all about that scene. Good call.

8) haha, sawyer coming out of the water was a pretty funny shot.
7) That's not actually the same kid who played Walk before but older, it's actually Arthur Agee from Hoop Dreams.
6) Yeah, there were a lot of pieces left on the board when he lost. No wonder he died so early on in the series. *spoiler alert*
5) Awesome product placement.
4) Jin is such an incredibly fast swimmer that he made it back to the island before it pooped through the space time continuum. He's fine, and with sawyer.
3) if you watch the crash again, you can actually see the baby fly out of kate's grasp, slam into hurley's face, and land safely back in Kate's arms. The bruise on Hurley's face can be seen in the following raft scenes.

Do you think claire has been bad news bears this whole time?

What's bad news bears about her so far, Mr. D? She seems somewhere between good and innocuous to me, even with her new relaxed and seductive look she revealed in the cabin.

I suppose I don't mean bad so much as I do in on it.
