Absolutely. Anyone can come, even non-improv people. I just posted here for visibility. I'm not trying to make it huge, but certainly more the merrier.

I'll do it again in the future if it goes well, for all the folks PMing me saying they were out of town.

Hey everyone,

I apologize greatly, but it appears I need to postpone this idea. Some sudden things have come up and I will be spending the weekend repairing them. Nothing bad, just some unexpected personal stuff. I will let you know when I plan to reschedule this. [ sad face ]

If you are interested, i do schedule private lessons on just getting to know your camera and stuff.

I'm sorry I missed this! I lazily relied on the e-mails that let me know when there was a reply to the thread, but didn't realize it stopped doing that after a few replies. I came back to check in because I hadn't seen one of the e-mails in a while, but it was too late. :(

Hey everyone,

I'm still planning on doing this but having trouble finding good dates. I apologize for canceling the last one of these. Apparently, word didn't get out and a few people showed up to an empty workshop. I assumed everyone would've seen it on this board since it's the only place I advertised the event. My sincerest sorries. But I haven't forgotten about it! Date TBA

Excellent! I just got a new camera the other week, and now I need to learn how to work the buttons.

I'm still totally down for this if I'm available when you offer it.

Ok! The Hideout owners have graciously let me use the upstairs as a meeting spot. The date is set for Sunday Oct 11th - 12:00pm (noon).

Please let me know if you are planning on attending. You DO NOT need to have a camera with you, you can still learn some things. But you will probably be bored for the second half in which we walk around and take photos.

I will be covering:
- Digital photography technical basics
Megapixels ? SLRs? Lenses? Oh my!

- What to look for in buying / upgrading cameras
Nikon? Canon? Daguerreotype?

- The basics of photography regarding light: ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed
ISOWhaaat?

Then we will walk around take photos for a bit! Hooray!

Neat! I'll see whether I can make it, with or without my Actual Owner of the Camera, who's pretty boned up on the basics.
