I guess that's cool, but 16 cyl. quad turbo? Seems a little much. What about the 1200hp supras, skylines, and GN's that guys build in their garages. They'll take that Bugatti (Poosnotty) off the line, and through the quarter mile, and they'll do it for a fraction of a 100k. Now that's engineering!

I'm adding Gottlieb Daimler, Karl Benz, Henry Ford, Carol Shelby, and Chip Foose to my list. Oh, Robbert Bakkar too.

keep in mind that no other road car on the planet has a 16 cyl quad turbo engine. the car was specifically designed to withstand that much power. the tires were custom made as well. the car has 10 radiators to keep it col and under control. also if you read the article you would have noticed this tidbit,

"It should also be noted that the Veyron's 0-200mph time is quicker than the McLaren F1's 120-200mph time. This makes the Veyron the quickest-accelerating production vehicle in history."

This means that you can line up a veyron and a mclaren f1. the McLaren can take off and reach 120mph. THEN the veyron takes off. and you know what? the veyron will BEAT the McLaren to 200mph. the veyron is the greatest road car every built in history and you'll never see anything like it again.

skylines can be tweaked im sure but they can go no where near as close as the bugatti veyron. the car freaking changes shape to accomodate for speed. skylines may have that horse power with alterations but it wont be able to handle the power as smoothly as the veyron nor even sustain that power as well.

a bit too much power? thats the fucking point. it's about the fact that we CAN build a car like this thus pushing our engineering minds to the next level. it's the first skyscapper. it's the concord. it's a wonder of engineering that you won't see again in the automobile world in our lifetime. and THAT's why the engineers behind this are heroes in my book.

I wanT to add Emma Thompson to my HERO list. I've seen everything she's ever acted in (that's readily available). Howard's End and Sense & Sensiblility are among my favs, though I pretty much liked her work in everything she was in -- including her part in Junior as the klutzy doc who falls for Schwartzeneger (sp?).

Oh! Edit!! I have yet to see Nanny McPhee (though I really wanted to see it).
