Sickest F***ing Stories - July 5th

Thanks to all who came out to see the show last night. We had a really good crowd for our first night. Good response. Great fun. That Other Paper is going to post clips from the show sometime soon. Meanwhile we are gearing up for the show on August 2nd.

I really liked this show. I agree with Jason that Charlie Hodge is hilarious. If either Asaf or That Other Paper is interested, I got some pretty decent video from the left and right. Lemme know if you'd like to use it to edit in some sweet cutaways or somethin'.

Hodge has been the best part of the Dudley and Bob show for years now. He gets more air time than Bob even. He's sharp, very funny, and likeably un-PC. He's on the Howard Stern path, and I bet he'll have his own show in the not-so-distant future.

All that being said, it would be a coup to get him to be a regular part of this show.

Highly enjoyable... although, as a poker buff, I would've like to have seen moments where the hand was the focus. Any thoughts of projecting the tabletop on a big screen, for just such occasions?

BTW, I -have- the technology to do this. Although, y'know, since there's real money involved, there's a major temptation to cheat.

I can spotlight the hands more every once in a while. Last night we had three 7s pop up twice in the spread and I am wondering if you the audience caught that when we were commenting on it. Ultimately though the poker takes a back seat to the stories. You will notice sometimes I just stopped dealing so as to put better focus on the storyteller.

But I would not be opposed to a projection of the spread.

You might also consider putting a mic or two down there to help amplify the voices. Either that or remind everyone to project while speaking. There were a few times where it was hard to hear in the back.

Anyone got a wireless mic connection?

You can rent them for $10 or $20 from Rock 'n Roll Rentals. That's what Arthur did for 321Kill at the Drafthouse.
