I was pumped for Lost finale at Dave & Rachel's, but I'm having to work until 8:30. Don't weep for me, I've got it recording on DVR, but it will have to be watched in the comfort of coldtowne manor.
Odd timing! I have new roomies coming in and we're cancelling cable right as amazing race, survivor, heroes, and lost have all wrapped up their seasons. I'm putting tv watching on hiatus until football season, I guess!

I'm sorry I missed this. I ended up at the Unnecessary Sequals thing. How did it go? Were there any un-tied threads after the last episode?
I've been discouraged by long running narrative/suspence shows like the X-Files & Alias building up mysteries that they never solve and had reservations about Lost for this reason from the very beginning.
Still like the show, though.
PS. My new windchime on my new deck is making lovely music outside my window!!

First of all, the season finale of LOST doesn't begin until 3 hours and 23 minutes from now. Secondly, the writers of LOST have agreed that they will end the show after exactly 48 more episodes, their reasoning being that they want to answer the questions and not get stuck in some X-Files-esque quagmire.sara_anm8r wrote:I'm sorry I missed this. I think the cliffhanger will set next season up to take place in the future (their future would actually be our current time). The flashbacks will then all be about how people ended up in the positions they're in.
What sucks is that we'll have to wait until January to find out.
Bravo for sussing that out. I saw your little yellow text a few days ago, but I chose to not read it because I was avoiding potential spoilers. I'm now happy with that choice.Justin Davis wrote:*ahem*Justin Davis wrote:The season finale is supposed to be a "game changer" according to everybody on the show. This is what I think it is. I loved tonight's episode so much (especially one scene with Hurley) that I wonder if I'll ever enjoy an episode of LOST that much again. I loved it so much that I don't mind if I never do.
7 months????!!!! Shit!!!!
I need to know about:
the Temple, where the rest of the others were headed
Walt is back?
were those flash forwards? or were those some sort of alternate reality (there's clues in there that indicate either)
The people coming to 'save' them
Jacob
who's in the coffin? (Jo... ....ntham)
Penny didn't know who Naomi was -- again, who are those people?
Mikhail thought Bonnie and Greta (in the Looking Glass station) were on assignment in Canada. Huh???
I have no idea how I'm going to wait this long.

Me either. I went to the Television Without Pity forums right afterwards and there were so many people commenting!
Most think that since the usual eps start in the "present" and then flash back, that this one also started in the new present (Jack home) and flashed back to the final moments on the island.
Cool, creepy, fun.
