Da' Bears...

Post by craigy »

I was sweating in my #54 Urkacher Jersey today... Go bears...

though, i know america will want the saints to march to the super bowl, and I think the conspiracies will fly if they do make it... I hear the hollywood script is in its final stages, with either the speilberg family feel good ending.. or the Bruckhiemer action pack...

Already casted:
Ace Manning as Pat's Tom Brady
Kenny Chesney/Frankie Munoz as Saint's Sean Payton
Former Baseball Star Eric Davis as Saint's Sam Horn

I'll be in New York, so I won't be able to join you. But what about for the Super Bowl?

I have hosted a Super Bowl party at my homestead, wherever it has been, for many years now. I shall continue the tradition this year in Austin. Take this posting to be the invitation to you sports fans out there.

Consider the following enticements:
> In order to help viewers feel that they're at the actual Super Bowl, I cook food that is typical to the location. (This year's location: Miami. Mmm, Cuban sandwiches! Mahi mahi! Gallo pinto! Oranges!)

> We got a sweet new flatscreen TV at Christmas.

> The Super Bowl Prognostication Challenge is always a crowd favorite.

> Ample seating with good viewing angles is available.

Saints-Bears game is Sunday at 2 pm CT. Who's up for the Shoal Creek Saloon on Lamar at 9th street? The New Orleans faithful are welcomed there--they've even got the big inflatable Saints helmet on the front porch roof! Nothing like a little etouffee to go with your NFC championship.

There's a big fun free show at ColdTowne Theater this Sunday night at 7pm featuring Asaf Ronen's Austinite debut as well as visiting instructor Clif Highfield. So! We would like to have an NFC Title game party at the Manor.
This is your official invite.

Take a closer look next time you drive by. That ain't no inflatable helmet.

If it were just us watching the game we would've been at Shoal Creek, but if enough friends are willing to come to ColdTowne Manor to watch and root for the Saints, we'd love to host.

whoa.

i am happy and sad all at once. it's 32 - 14 chicago right now. that was one hell of a run from bush; i'm glad he got in a great play. and my boy cedric benson just scored for the bears. it's over at this point. i'm sad for the saints and for coldtowne but it'll be nice to see urlacher and benson/jones cremate the stupid patriots.

it was a closer game than the score lets on.

go NFC

The Bears better hope that they play the Colts, because they will lose to the Patriots. The only chance the Bears would have against the Patriots would be if they let the Dolphins play the game for them. The ghost of Steve Grogan and Stanley Morgan wait patiently. And Rich Gedman.

Nobody believed me when I said that the Colts would win. But they did. HA! So there. My trash has been talked.
They call me Dollar Bill 'cause I always make sense.
