If you disrespect your character, or play it just for laughs, it will sell some gags, but it's all technique.

Great show, everyone! Dave and Rachel did a great job of mixing new games, old games and new twists on old games. Ratliff made all of us look good. Kristin followed through on her promise to tape. Nadine made us look like pros by scoring for us. Yay yay yay.

that was a strong maestro.. and it was dave's first maestro too and he did awesome! i especially loved the string of pearls and sing it.. (sperm and trash can! go christina!)
notes for the scorekeeper: as nice as it was to sit on a high chair and looking pretty, i think it would've been better if I could sit down normally and scribble. because everytime there was a scene, i would mentally try to remember every number that was on stage, and then hold on to that while i score from memory... it didn't help that the players immediately clear the stage. I guess I could've brought a clipboard too. I didn't think of that. also, having on pen and paper every scene and score will help in case players think they were scored wrongly. (which i apparently did for at least one player. sorry!)
ps: hmm.. i guess my signature is rather apt tonight

You were right! That was a hardcore maestro! It had multiple games at once (New Choice + Alphabet game, Shakespeare + Fowards/Reverse) and ridiculously complex twists to the classic games (singing version of String of Pearls).
Great end-of-the-year show! Great job and Congrats to all the people that played!
