Really interesting show on Saturday, everyone. I thought we started with one of the strangest, quietest audiences I've ever faced and ended with a unified group of cheering folks. I think this is the result of players determined to have fun and the magic of the format. It just seems unbreakable at times.
I wanted to apologize if I seemed cranky and impatient as a director. I was rusty and struggled with the logistics of directing (forgetting what round we were in, botching direction, failing to explain myself clearly). Someone told me afterwards that I need to be more patient with myself, and I think that's spot on. So I apologize for any aggressiveness or frustrated demeanor. I don't think this needs discussion and I'm not looking for reassurance. I just wanted people to know what was up and congrats on turning a show around to a triumphant conclusion.
My favorite two scenes of the night were "under the bus" with Eric & Asaf , followed by Andy's Shakespeare scene with Halyn delivering all her lines from a copy of Henry the 4th (actor's nightmare).
