Here's scary thing to ponder. What does one do with 11000 unemployed former DEA agents?

Slide them over to TSA, they will do much better than the former Walmart cashiers and stockers they employ now.

That's 11,000 people who would be great at working violent and/or financial crimes... you know, REAL problems in our country.

We could use them at the border, just shooting at the cartel pukes. Place one about every 250yds or so.

Ok, the link works now. Man that was a crazy article. Those people are insane, but I guess that's what it's like when there is a very low rate of law in the country. I remember going to a vacation part of Mexico over 5 years ago when things were "ok" and the police still all carried AK-47s (I really don't know my guns though, but looked like that type of model.)

Really...if their military isn't even working, the only good solution would be to legalize it in the US. And take out the Zetas.

I read another article recently about a town where literally NOBODY would step up and run the police department. Everybody bailed... or was dead.

The mortality rate (in general & among police) was so high it was practically suicide to take the job.

Finally, a woman right out of college stepped up and took the reigns. She had her criminal justice degree and that was it. Just her in the big old empty police station with a single cruiser. 22-24 years old.

Sounds like a premise for a promising film, doesn't it??

We've turned an individual's personal choice (with possible harmful effects) into the imperialistic neglect of & slaughter of helpless people. We're more concerned about Mexicans escaping across border into the US. But jeez, can you blame them? Lawmakers in the US do everything they can to make life in Mexico miserable.
