I will say this: the UCB Tourco shows I have seen in the past have completely blown my mind. Their scene work was neither slow nor patient and it was intensely game heavy, damned if it wasn't super intelligent and entertaining as all fuck. What can I say? I like to be entertained.
And since it's totally within our right to publicly critique improv, I'm going to start emailing everyone notes after their shows. You shouldn't mind right? Because I'm entitled to my opinion.

Find a note in that thread. No one was giving notes or a critique of choices that should have been made in a given show. People were responding honestly to their impressions of a show they paid better than average money to attend. They liked this, they didn't like that. What is it about that concept that people find so distasteful all of a sudden? Feh.

Seriously, if UCB came back to town I'd go see 'em. Why? Because I hear there show is pretty great from people I respect who've expressed as much on this thread.
But this notion that no one can ever express a dissenting opinion in public is just creepy. Is this old school Romania or something? The negative sentiments expressed in this thread were almost always couched in statements of "This is my personal opinion", and "Maybe this is just my taste," usually surrounded by the kind of qualifying positive things that we see in other threads. Instead of the school marmish "Oh, they are our peers, how rude to even express an opinion," maybe we should just treat our Austin peers as American adults who can express their opinions and take their lumps on their own if someone doesn't like what they write.

Fair enough. I don't know who Henri Mazza is and I'm not sure what part he plays in this - does he work for the Alamo? I think the trailer itself was fine - actually pretty good production values although someone else mentioned that these guys might have a TV show that they culled from? (I'm a little out of the loop on such things). My sole issue was with the pretentiousness of that line, which it makes me happy to know they didn't put in there. I'm fine with a fan saying it, but that wasn't clear from watching the trailer.
