Tickets are already selling steadily well and we have not even put out our advertising yet, especially since the people who HAVE bought tickets are buying for both nights.. I definitely want as much of the improv community as possible to see these folks so make your reservations now: http://coldtownetheater.frontgatetickets.com

The movie is showing three times. Because it's at the Ritz, you'll have the most luck seeing it at the third showing. But you should probably buy a film festival pass to do so. Supposedly, they're still on sale at Alamo theaters for pretty cheap. You can get in to see any film at The Paramount because it seats so many and it's not hard to see a movie at the Alamo Lamar location because a lot of people don't venture away from downtown during SXSW. It's nigh-impossible to get seats at Alamo Ritz for most movies. Even a lot of people with Badges don't make it in movies. I may see the movie again, but if I do, I'll likely go on the third night so I'll more likely get in.kbadr wrote:You can buy tickets to SxSW movies. They just give preference to badge holders. I don't think the TJ&Dave movie will be as hugely popular with non-improvisers.kristin wrote:Do you happen to know how an average non-SXSW go-er can get in to see this?Asaf wrote:And just you guys know, they will be attending the March 17th screening of their documentary and answering questions afterwards.
I already bought my ticket to see them live and may buy a second set of tickets depending on what I can find out about The 2 Bobs, the movie showing at the same time as their second show.
80 tickets out of a possible 260 sold already, and that's just improvisers, for the most part. Fliers and ads are just going out. Stories and previews aren't coming out till next week.
There you have it, America.

The first and third showings are in the smaller theater in the Ritz though which only has 60 seats.Justin D. wrote:The movie is showing three times. A great interview that our very own Erik Adams did with TJ & Dave for The Decider.
