I early vote every year cuz I have to go shoot video of people voting early for TV news.

I get paid to vote!

I voted on Tuesday. It was weird. I originally selected the straight ticket option and then had a moment where I realized that was stupid and lazy. Before I verified and hit my blinking red beeping VOTE button I went back through and double checked that I was actually voting for who I wanted to vote for based on the information that I had. In Williamson County, I belive there were 5-7 races that were uncontested AND not in line with my political views. I left those blank as there was no option to select otherwise. It was either select that one person on select nothing. I really would like to see a "non-vote" option so that there would be a record of my displeasure with the choice(s) I had.

I am still very interested in the presidential race and I feel like I can still stump for my candidate and make an impact in that way.

Didn't you know? The elderly are known to congregate in the presence of Austin band Voxtrot, under the mistaken impression that ballroom dancing will ensue.

bullshit. fucking provisional ballot. i registered and everything in plenty of time. i wasn't on the register and even if i was, i didn't have a photo id with my current address. i'm not saying i'm disenfranchised. i'm totally enfranchised still. it just made me sad to see my ballot get sealed into an envelope and put aside while everyone else got to run theirs through a little machine and be counted. still got the sticker. i'm gonna write provisionally underneath the voted part.

My sympathies, Jer. But take heart, brother, for the Venerated Lord Obama forgives you for your provisionalist transgression, for not only was it no fault of your own, but verily did you set up a donation account in His Name.

Is anyone throwing an election party? I've been out of town and haven't keep up with my forum stalkings.
