Nerdvana was really sweet. I didn't think it would be sketch either, so it was like a little comedy surprise.

I enjoyed Unexpected Company a lot on Friday. The show started off with a bang when Melissa asked if anyone else was from RI like her troupe, and the one guy who was answered with "I went to school with you." She proceeded to guess his name, then realized she made out with him in high school and shouted all of this out loud before going, "Oh! Sorry! I hope you don't find this awkward. There's nothing awkward about this, right? We were in high school at the time. Right? Not awkward."

The entire show had some wonderful meta moments, and my favorite part involved Ari recalling a trick his dad played on him when he was 6. The Q&A that followed was epic.

That whole section made the show for me. I love his line about using the show as a therapy because he hasn't gone in a while.

My fav so far is Junk's, especially their first story.

Haven't gotten to see the main stage shows much though since I'm stage managing the smaller theatre.

I really was shocked by FUCT, and it was nice. Enjoyed it.

Also Pgraph and Vroom, the parts I managed to see.

Get Up had one of the best damn improv shows i've ever seen, period. so they take the prize there (though P-Graph and IFE were also awesome...what can i say? i loves me some narrative).

Nerdvana was awesome and the perfect kind of sketch for me. and, technical difficulties aside, loved Backpack Picnic. what is NOT the perfect kind of sketch for me but i oddly loved it anyway was Fuct. i'm going to be pondering that show for a while.

i also had a lot of fun in Maestro and the BOTS show...but since i was in them, it feels narcissistic to praise them. even though i'd mostly just be praising everyone else (especially Edi and her damn, damn Roshambeaux telepathy!)

Kape's show saturday night was a real pleasure. Playful and relaxed, even when their set was over they were still having fun. When one went to exit on stage left instead of right and found a wall behind the curtain, the rest quickly imitated this, pretending to be confused and disorientated. Emily then ducked behind a midstage curtain in the "ostrich head in sand" bit. The whole show was delightfully silly.

I really loved The Groundlings too. So fast paced and a unique way to setting up scenes (maybe it's unique I don't know).
