Chip Pope (R.O. Manse) and Howard Kremer (Dragon Boy Suede) started doing comedy in Austin. They're both doing (very funny) comedy in LA now, and are writers on the new Mike Judge show, The Goode Family.
They were also 2 of the 3 stars of the MTV show Austin Stories (I'm not sure what happened to the third, Laura House). Maybe an Austin Stories reunion/retrospective/screening could get the festival some attention.
