I think it is great that you want to perform improv and are willing to keep studying to do that. Though improv is by it's very nature done in the moment, GOOD improv (improv entertaining enough to be worthy of paying audience members) is not second nature for most people, and only comes from people who WORK AT IT.

Lucky for you, there are lots of great improv teachers right here in Austin! And fortunately, the class fees are very reasonable ($ per hour). Compare them with other kinds of training costs and you will see they are a great buy - especially since any improv training you get can be applied to everyday life.)

I don't know what kind of work you want, but the internet is the perfect tool for job searching. I coach my computer animation students who are starting their job search to go look for local jobs on Austin Craigslist. You can also find industry trade magazines specific to your area(s) of expertise and look through them for job ops. Google "[your industry]" +"magazine" and I'm sure you'll find some good information about locating jobs in your field. Hope this helps.
