I am ALL FOR THIS!!! I dooled on the screen via my projected paint program one evening between shows when my troupe was hosting and we were just playing around and it was FUN! (that was a run-on sentence). I also love the animation + improv thing, but that's kind of like oil and water - one is instantenous, the other is incredibly time consuming. The better mix is the the "doodle pad" format (sketch artist plus improv), which, btw, is what I think you should call it.

last saturday's show was sold out, probably thanks to the article we had in the chron. we're thinking it's gonna be huge again this saturday as people try to relieve some extreme cabin fevre.
join us in the fun, won't you?

we saved the best for last. one of my favorite old school well hung jury formats, Crass Menagerie. In this one, we show some short films that feel incomplete (cuz they are) then the audience votes on which one they want to see improvised to completion as a longform. it's one heck of a combination of sketch and improv.
I'm working on the films right now and they are funny funny.
the last two saturdays sold out so we're looking for the same action this week. and our improv is even one week better than it was last week.
come enjoie a unique format. also, this week's show features the pretty-haired bill stern and a very funny rolling chair comedy joke.
hiyo silver.
