The part about the different archetypes living in the same world and interacting and cooperating is the most interesting and exciting to me, especially if they need each other in some way, but may not understand each other.
That basic concept is the reason I liked Brian K Vaughn's "Runaways" so much... it's about a group of kids (whose powerful parents happen to be supervillains) who each inherit their parents archetypal "power":
One's a mutant, one has access to advanced high technology, one has a telepathically linked pet dinosaur, one is a witch, one's an alien. Each pretty interesting on their own, but way more interesting when they have to work together.
