Didn't want to start a whole other NFL thread this, so...

RIP - Junior Seau. Apparently he committed suicide this morning. Some guys just never live again after they leave the field. As passionate as Seau was about the game, I can't help but wonder if he was one of those guys.

Also have to wonder if he wasn't suffering from concussion related issues that have plagued so many retired players.

Apparently a hospital is Boston is trying to get hold of Seau's brain to see if indeed he had chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

This Harvard grad who used to wrestle for the WWF has been really pushing concussion research for the last decade or so since it's what pushed him out of football and then wrestling. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't his organization driving the bus on that one.

Chris Nowiski. If it wasn't for the brain injury he might have had a good run. Though what he's doing now is a lot more important than hitting a Fisherman's Buster.

The average life expectancy in the U.S. is 78 years. That of an NFL player is 55.
