I would like to play! Your choice: 1890s Paris courtesan/can-can dancer or crazy cat lady. (The courtesan 40 years later??)

I wanted to "like" this.hujhax wrote: (I suspect that Halyn is, on some level, *always* playing as Max from Where the Wild Things Are. This is just one of the qualities that makes Halyn awesome.)
so be it...luv...Jessica wrote:(also I want to know who Emperor Palpatine and John Constantine are)
only for the rest of us...sniff...excuse me, something in my eye...Kayla wrote:2. This is my first Maestro with Halyn. Missy, I have wanted to play with you in something for a while now. (Sorry to single you out. Hope that wasn't weird.)
Yeah, I think that's the most fun (for the players and the audience). It's basically "persona-prov". You're playing a character who's doing an improv show. So you can decide from scene-to-scene how completely you want to drop the Minnie Mouse character to play the actual Maestro game you were just called out for.Kayla wrote: Dorky noob question: Do we play "in character"? And does that mean I'm Minnie Mouse who is playing Maestro, but I would still play characters in the scenes/games to serve them accordingly -- only being the Mouse when I'm not playing (just when I'm moving my score marker and interacting with the audience etc)?
This being the case, I don't know if being the Candy Cane man is a good idea, as it is basically a miming character. Through the costume you can't see my face and you can barely hear me talk. Perhaps I should switch to Pan ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_(god) ) ? What do you say Jess?kbadr wrote: It's basically "persona-prov". You're playing a character who's doing an improv show.
Shit. Yeah, that was uncool. Let me clarify so I don't sound so rude.Rev. Jordan T. Maxwell wrote:only for the rest of us...sniff...excuse me, something in my eye...Kayla wrote:2. Because I am still so new, *every* Maestro I have played in so far has been my first time to play with many extremely talented and supportive improvisers (like yourself!) whom I have never played with before, and whom I have seen perform and admire. This fact has not evaded me; every time I play Maestro I am thrilled (to an absurd fan girl degree).
I was just psyched about Halyn because we're both in college! And underage! And women! So even if it sounds superficial, there's sort of a built-in camaraderie to that.
Aaaah, I'm sorry. Especially when I go back and look at the list it's CRAZY to single someone out like that because everyone on that list (both whom I have and haven't played with before) is a complete all-star.
Foot in mouth. My apologies.
