In episode 4 we left Space Cadet Del being helped up after launching himself into the middle of the workshop Iwas directing, from the samey-same stage ladder as in episode3.Sad for Del I had not got to the "everybody be ready to catch Del" part of my workshop yet,so the players were horrified to see this wild eyed maniac descending upon them They yelped and scattered like roaches. Space ship Del hit the stage and damaged it's hull seriously. Shit was Barokenn, mann!! Del was sidelined, with a cast [a big fookin heavy 1967 cast] for 6 weeks. We were free!! the Workshop Wing was growing in L.A. and San Francisco and constant practice and long dicussions in the cool coffee houses none of us could afford resulted in us Getting our own show night under the Committee marquee [sp/] an hour of demonstrating the Spolin games and whatever weirdshit games we invented ,and then an hour [mas y menos ] of Harold. Let the Weirdness and Magic Chaos Roll. Next Harold Begins Dating..mpm

Episode 5..Harold goes dating...With capt. Del in drydock and the Committee striking the set at the Tiffany [no mo'nice theatre],our group, now called The Synergy Trust, set out to spread the gospel of improv. we taught public workshops in the Spolin games and started doing Harold as a free standing pure improv piece. we were a big hit on campus, Robert Altman loved us and cast us in his movies,we were a curiosity and all cutting edge and trendy for awhile, but layin down good bread to see something that could as easily be incomprehensible as enjoyable wore thin with JohnQ. There were 17 of us and as ideology and sense of purpose fragmented ,we went our seperate ways, but lot's of us continued in the field, some of my most rewarding times were with the junkies and meth heads in a place called Synanon, using these games and technique to help unlock layers of fear and desparation and let the creative light out . These days I'm trying to organize a group of folks in 12 step recovery to experiment with the Spolin games to see how they relate to the recovery experience as it is today. [see my post improv and recovery] Obviously Del got better and went on to Sainthood, and is now leaping off that big stageladder in the sky. So now children,I sink into my reveries of past glory..the older I get ,the better I was!! P.S. leave me a message if your into the recovery workshop
