Y'all still have time to board the party bus thread:

We just got a shipment of headgear - historically accurate reproductions!

You're just disappointed because Ratliff replaced George Plimpton, and Mo is doubling for Norman Mailer. Your expectations are too high.
We broke open Norm's restricted diaries today at work and are having a field day! I think Ratliff's closer to Mailer in terms of being a cantakerous Americanist/ladykiller, whereas I've got more of the dandy dilettantism of G. Plimpton. Trust, Shannon, that if an assassin ever took aim at you in a crowded room, I'd tackle his ass to the ground!
Does that make you Rosey Grier to my RFK? Or did Plimpton once tackle someone attempting to assassinate a friend of his? I didn't know that.

We need to get on that chocolate party limo, then!

Also, it is true, although once upon a time Wes was in the mix. He is slowly being replaced by Ratliff.

I looooooove to debate when I think I've got a point. Makes me feel alive.

I am indifferent to chocolate party limos.

Plimpton and Bobby K. were Harvard pals, and it was Plimpton and Rafer Johnson who tackled Sirhan to the ground (immortalized in the Jonathan Coulton song "A Talk With George.")

I think at the end of the day, we'd all do this for anyone else on the board. Men love and fight and blur the borders of the two.

Word.

And what's your beef with party limos?

Aha. I always thought Rosey Grier was in the mix as well--"Break his hand Rosey," and all that. That happened, right?

Anyway, glad to see at least one other person besides my fragile ego carrying around comparisons between me and Bobby Kennedy, who was also a world class political alley knife fighter.

My apologies all.
Seconded.

I'm Norman Mailer and Justin is Gore Vidal? Doesn't something seem amiss there? I guess that makes ColdTowne Elaine's.

Either way, I'm throwing a drink in his face and cold-cocking him next time I see him.
We could make Bob McN be Rip Torn. That way you could bite off a chunk of his ear.

This does way more damage to Austin improv than anything else.

Thirded, fourthed, and fifthed with the apologies. Also, we should save all our aggression up and punch each other at the award ceremony this weekend. I say that because it is at my house and I know where secret caches of weapons are located. Also, to get us in the mood, we all have to watch this clip 10 time a day to get our 10 minute hate on. Forward to about 2:27 on the video.
