First off, of COURSE I was around when Steamboat was open. I lived above it. Second, you haven't noticed a precipitous decline in the number of old Austin hippies around? Either they're dying off naturally, they're in hiding, or
someone is killing them. And I always believe the last option.

nah, they just can't afford to live in the city proper anymore, so you gotta drive out to Bastrop or Pflugerville or Cedar Park to find em.

That's a concept I'd watch. I don't know if they'd have others fill out the cast or not. Actually, this is close to a concept I've been working on in my head for a while.
