I just got back my copy of Silkworm's developer
If you haven't heard of silkworm, here's a
fake myspace.
Also, i'm sorry, but I still haven't gotten tired of Dragonforce...i wish i had someone to talk to about it.

When christina and I went to see modest mouse
manman opened. Opened and rocked it. They're like being at a carnival after hours. Although apparently for some people they're old news.

It looks like I listen to a lot of the same music that Shannon and Bob listen to, so I think I should look into the stuff that I didn't recognize.
Some albums I didn't see on this thread that I've been listening to recently:
Pelican - "Australasia" and "The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw"
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works, Volume 2
They Might Be Giants - Apollo 18
Beta Band - Hot Shots 2
SENKING - Ping/Thaw
Negativland - no business
The Jesus Lizard - LIAR

Currently in my 6-changer at home:
Randy Newman's "Faust"
Take 6 (their first CD)
Holst: The Planets
Peter Gabriel "Shakin' the Tree"
"Toys" the soundtrack (Hans Zimmer)
Stevie Wonder: The Definitive Collection
In my car:
Frank Zappa: Joe's Garage Parts 1-3 to rock out to and Laurie Anderson: United States Parts 1-4 for long drives (listening to the whole show twice will get you from L.A. to Phoenix).

This week I've been stone-col' rockin':
...so, mostly the heavy, mathy stuff.
I, for whatever reason, have been on the math kick recently, too. Just picked up Battles's Mirrored and also the eponymous debut by Pterodactyl.
Uh, lots of other stuff...

Beeler is hilarious.
Cody, when I come back for OOB I will know all about dragon force. Thank you, friend.
Also, am I lame for getting into Regina Spektor? Then I guess I'm lame then. Totally into it.

I heart Katie the Pest. They are from LA and sound like a rougher, less sarcastic Aislers Set.

I like this, but I think I personally would give the nod to the Madvillain record. Jesus Christ, that record does not get old for me.
"Oh my aching hands, from raking in grands and breaking in mike stands." Perfection.

How are the Strawberry Jam tracks? I haven't heard any of them, but I'm really looking forward to that record.

Did anyone see Animal Collective at Antone's a few weeks ago? I would have gone, but I also went to see Morrissey and Voxtrot that weekend. I've heard they are pretty wacky live, but I have yet to see it for myself.

I missed it too, but you can hear the whole show here:

Apparently much of this tour has been new-new material, newer than what was recorded earlier this year for SJ, and will be on whatever record(s) follow it.
