Get out the Waffle Word.

Post by Roy Janik »

Tonight is the night.

Now is the time to do whatever you can to get out the word about WaffleFest. Facebook, emails, etc...

If you're in one of the performing troupes, considering sending a personal email to 5 friends, telling them about your show. Personal invitations always make a huge difference for me.

The website is:
http://www.hideouttheatre.com/shows/wafflefest

One easy way is to just go there and click the Facebook Like button, and then enter some text to recommend WaffleFest to your friends.

thanks, everyone!

The word is Waffle.

I find it's much more endearing when you leave the "s" off the plural. "Hey guys, there's going to be TONS of waffle. Really. Who doesn't like Waffle?"

The plan is working. Even a friend in LA just now posted mobile upload of his meal at Roscoe's.

Say we don't get people out to the theater. At least we did the waffle industrial complex a huge favor.

The waffle word so far this evening is two sold-out houses and excellent performances all around.

The presales are going along swimmingly, and Thursday totally sold out, but we've got 3 times as many seats to fill tonight, and simulataneous shows. So if you can, keep getting the word out.

WaffleFest may seem silly, but it is the largest showcase of local improv groups.

Last night was an awesome night of sold out shows and fantastic performances. Let's see if we can do it again.

Last year, for whatever reason, the houses on Saturday were a little lighter than Friday. Let's see if we can buck that trend.

Spread the word. Pick a specific show and recommend it. If you're performing tonight, and your troupe has a newsletter, facebook page, twitter account, or whatever, use it.

Let's make it the biggest WaffleFest ever, and then celebrate the community tomorrow at the AIC Potluck.

In case you haven't heard, we managed to sell out EVERY SINGLE WAFFLEFEST SHOW. Thank you so much for getting the word out, and making this the best WaffleFest ever. The shows were all incredible, too.
