Before OoB completely takes over all of your brains, we wanted to let you know that Just Like the Rodeo, Gnap!'s series of one night only experimental shows, kicks off the week after OoB.

Here's the lineup up!

September 11--Mongoose: John Zorn's Cobra for musicians and actors

September 17--Who Killed Bambi?: A staged reading of Roger Ebert's unproduced screenplay for the Sex Pistols

September 18--Monopoly: A famous board game transformed into an interactive improv show

September 24--Henna Chou & Lindsey Taylor: A collaboration of music and dance

September 25--DanceRodeoDance: A movement and music matrix of composition and improvisation

October 1--The Arty Party: Improv followed by comics artists and more

October 2--Brently Heilbron Guinness Ukulele: A completely legitimate attempt to set the record for world's longest ukulele song

Here's the lineup up!

Just Like The Rodeo: A month-long series of one-night only experiments in performance and comedy.

October 1--The Arty Party: Improv followed by comics artists and more.

I'm super excited about The Arty Party.

The improv will be The Starter Kit and an unannounced troupe as of yet, followed by what should be an awesome party with a DJ and artists jam with all art for sale.

Here's the gist for the show so far: At 8 we're going to have an improv show. After that, at around 9:15/9:30, we'll turn the stage over to artists to create work while a DJ plays tunes, and there will be free drinks for creators and audience alike. We figure about 4 to 5 artists on stage at a time, and there will be a table in the lobby to put the created works up for sale to the audience -- all proceeds go to the creators. As artists finish, new ones take their spots on stage. This should last until about midnight or possibly later.
