LIFE LESSONS: THINGS YOUR MOTHER NEVER TAUGHT YOU
Featuring ColdTowne Theater’s All-Female Super Troupe Sarah 7 and a New Real-Life Improv Mom Every Thursday at 8pm in August!!
With Mrs. Cleaver and Mrs. Brady no longer teaching the public the important life lessons that lead to successful, morally obligated lives, how will our society thrive? Who will to teach us the important things in life?
We definitely don’t have any morale, successful female role models to show you the way, but we do have six female improvisers who are willing to teach you a lesson or two. Every Thursday in August, Sarah 7, ColdTowne Theater’s all-star all-woman improv troupe (along with a mother guest-star) brings you Life Lessons: Things Your Mother Never Taught You, an improv show based around the audience’s questions. It’s like an advice column, but replace “Dear Abbey” with women of questionable virtue and tastes.
Sarah 7 is Cortnie Jones (Boy Toy), Stephanie Russo (Le Sexy), Jenny Carlson (Total Panic), Teresa Kubos (ColdTowne Mainstage Sketch), Katie Sicking (Boy Toy) and Liz Brammer (ColdTowne Mainstage Sketch).
Special mother improviser guests include Erika May McNichol (The Frank Mills), Julia Kirchen (Unfurled), Elizabeth Leader Smith (Midnight Society), Kristin Henn (Oh, Science), and Vicki Sokol Evans (Secret Senate).
Thursdays are also still Couples Night. Couples cut from any cloth get in 2 for the price of 1 Single people: you might just meet someone special in the dark.
The ColdTowne Theater is Austin’s main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch and stand up shows Thursday through Monday, featuring the smartest, brightest, and hardest-working comedians in Central Texas. ColdTowne’s resident comedians are three time winners of the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” Readers Poll for “Best Comedy Group” and have appeared all over country at festivals, on college campuses and at house parties.
Tickets for shows are $5 and can be purchased online through http://coldtownetheater.frontgatetickets.com. Group Rates are available by contacting coldtowne@coldtownetheater.com. [/img]
