Today would have been the lovely Jill Bernard's birthday.
We miss you Jill.

There was a graceful gruesome dignity at her end. Did anyone catch her last words??

I didn't. But I think that the exact robot duplicate of Jill that "lives" in Austin recorded the whole thing with its robo-brain.

(happy birthday, robo-jill)

Yes, and as long as we keep it fueled with Austin breakfast tacos, a small corner of the world will be able to enjoy a version of Jill forever.

Man, as sad as all of this is, I'm really excited to do a workshop this Saturday led by a taco-fueled robot. Happy Robirth!

I think Jill Bernard is like Shakespeare. The body of work known as Shakespeare is who he is now.
Hundreds of years from now, everyone will remember Bernard's great body of work...

...and that great smile.

Jill was an inspiration to us all. I'm so glad her soul lives on in her robo-body.

I should have had her autograph my book while she still could.
