Hey all -
I stumbled across this forum while looking up Austin Improv after my first experience via the 41 Hour Marathon. I was 1 of 2 in the odd couple strangely present at many of the day shows. Hopefully our continued presence didn't weird you guys out or anything. Probably like most outsiders, I had always associated Improv with sketch or stand-up comedy and honestly assumed local shows would only be mildly entertaining.
After seeing our first show, we were like, "Lets stay for another" then another and another. 14 hours of improv later, we are hooked and we will definitely be attending future events.
I was completely blown away by not only the humor, but the talent as well. From the fast paced competition-style improv, to the awesome Mamet inspired scenes, to the full on narrative/genre like Dusk and The Andersons - it was all so awesome, truly.
Just wanted to let all who participated know how much we appreciated it.

Awesome, Darius! Speaking as one of the core 8 performers, and as one of the owners of the Hideout, let me just say that I really, really appreciated how long you guys stayed.
You most definitely didn't creep anybody out. We really like it when people stay around!
Hope to see you around soon. Welcome to Austin improv.

Yay! I was one of the core eight, and it was so great to see people who stayed there for hours and hours in a row. I wanted to find you guys at some point and introduce myself and thank you for being such a super fan, but I was a little out of it.
