Thank you to all the volunteers who made the marathon possible. Everything went ridiculously smoothly this year.

You have our sincere gratitude.

Now that I am awake, I'd like to reiterate what Kareem said. As a participant, I felt extraordinarily well taken care of.

As far as I know, the people who said they would volunteer volunteered, and there wasn't much confusion or complaining.

From the inside, it felt magical. I'd get off stage and there'd be a new troupe in the green room warming up and reading to hit the stage with us.

Someone would be taking tickets, and somehow the house would be opened at the right time. I'd head to the booth, and there'd a be a tech person ready to go (usually Zimmerman, Neil or Todd). It was like clockwork.

And of course, I really can't thank Andy or Kareem enough for making everything happen, and taking care of all the little details and problems that popped up, all the while having to wrangle the increasingly shattered minds of the performers.

So thanks again to everyone who volunteered to help out on the Marathon. You're family, and one of my goals for the upcoming year is to find out more ways to make you feel included and loved.

All of the volunteers were awesome, and, again, super big thanks to Andy and Kareem for making shit happen. Audiences and whoever saw the core eight as the face of the marathon, but without you guys holding us up, we would have just been a big puddle of exhausted goo.

Yeah, thanks to all of you. It was always so great to come off stage and see lovely volunteers making it all work.
