Agenda for 7/30/06 General Meeting

Post by acrouch »

You guys know the drill. We throw a bunch of issues up on the forums, some awesome person compiles them and brings agendas to the meeting and we discuss.

So what's doin' this month?

I would like to talk about the poor audiences we've had during the summer (especially the 11:30 shows) and how we can combat that as fall rolls around and the students hit town. Let's prepare ourselves to capitalize on Out of Bounds and the general upswelling of activity in Austin in August and September.

Strategies include, but are not limited to: flyering, advertising in student publications, handing out tons of free tickets, upping the quality and production values of the shows, selling tickets for all shows online (through ACoT?), revamping the AIC website, etc.

I am unfortunately out of town for the meeting; does anyone else want to head this topic up?

OoB would like to talk about bringing AIC on as a full sponsor in exchange for the AIC half of the OoB Cagematch tourney proceeds. This might need action before the meeting. Can people weigh in on their feelings on this? It'll get the AIC website and logo in front of a lot more people than we're used to reaching (over 1000 on the mailing list, plus all the SVT mailing list by extension).

i'll compile it and post it. however, i won't be at the meeting so you'll have to bring your own copies.

also, i am supposed to be our new secretary but someone else will have to do so for me this meeting. i'll start doing all these things at the next next meeting, which i am assuming will be the weekend after oob.

I would like to discuss ideas about how to "re-vamp" the three-fer ONLY slightly.

I don't want a full workover, just a few fresh ideas and some advertising things...name and logo (which I'll gladly work with others on), but I would love to become a part-time host, because I love hosting, and have some slight say in how things are run.

I'm also volunteering now (i've mentioned this to a few) to become responsible for all of this stuff about the three-fer.

We could always talk about this.

Jeremy, can you actually post this in the boards in advance so we can read it before the meeting, or for people not going but wanting to give their vote/say?

Thanks
Nadine.

Laminated Host Duties sheet for the green room.

Laying out all the responsibilities of host troups.

Laminated box office duties sheet for the box office.

Just a brief discussion perhaps.

Justin sir, you are being notified that you made You Me & Greg all laugh out loud. This is rare. Thank you for this moment.

And picturing all three of you huddled around a computer just made me laugh out loud. Touche.
