Hideout Marathon Volunteer Call

Post by kbadr »

The Hideout's doing it's improv marathon again this June, and we need volunteers to help staff it. Last year's marathon was a crazy community event and we're shooting for the same vibe this year.

We're looking for volunteers to work:
- Box Office
- Tech
- Door
- Random food/supply runs for the 8 insane players who are performing for 41 hours straight.
- Photo/Video/Documentation

I'd like to keep volunteer slots to 3 or 4 hours each, so no one gets totally exhausted and sleep-deprived. That means we need a ton of people.

So if you're interested in helping out at all, please reply in this thread and fill out your availability in this spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance!

I'm volunteering!

This event is really SO MUCH fun. I'd highly recommend everyone sign up for a few slots. This, more so than any other, is what really launched me into the improv community. I'd been taking classes for about a year, but once I saw how everyone came together to support each other in the creation of something magical, I was really hooked. And, of course, life has never been the same since.

Show your support, and get much more in return! Volunteer!

it looks like I can't volunteer, as I'll be away for a chunk of the weekend. Family stuff getting in the way.

Sorry.

I'm good for nothing Sat 11am-3pm and Sun 8am-noon because of classes.

I'm good for anything for other times. Come join the fun!

It's going to be tricky wrangling all the time slots and volunteers. If you're interested in helping, can you also post your availability and what you're willing to help out with? Thanks.

Would it be possible to have a sign-up sheet? Goog doc or similar?

What if you're available for all available times? Do you just go down the list with your name? Or do you leave room for others?

I think it would be a good idea to give yourself some time to crash and/or eat once in a while.

But sign up for whatever you think you can do!

Sounds great. I'd volunteer. Not sure what for though or what times. Ahhhh seems like all the good spots are taken. Only the crazy 2-6am slots are left.

Oh, well. I'll figure it out.

I can help out in Box office and door between 8 pm Friday night until the end of all the shows.

Just need a bit of space in between to take care of the dog and to get some sleep (cuz I'm not insane like you folks)
