You remember that one time when we went to a Dodgers game and ate a hot dog Lady and The Tramp style because we lost a bet to the guys writing LAX over on NBC? Which show lasted longer than one season, bitches?DamonLindelof wrote:Hey, who likes baseball?

wow...io9 posted an unnecessarily long and not all that funny list of cynical fanboyish whining? next you'll be telling me Television Without Pity has said something snarky about various television shows!
for that matter, the questions answered last night aside, there were a handful that got answered long ago...you don't know what the runway was for? really? not paying much attention last season then, i take it? a whole bunch just seemed like random supposition and theorizing that has nothing to do with any actual questions the show has asked. i mean, "is Ji Yeon the Kwon listed in the cave?" seriously? the creators are not beholden to answering or refuting every crackpot theory someone posts on the internet. it really felt like they only had 10 valid questions that might not be addressed in the finale, and everything else was just padding. it would be far more interesting to explore those handful of questions, give them each a blurb about HOW they were presented as important to the story as a whole, how long it's been since they were addressed, and perhaps the likelihood they'll be answered and have a little fun with some hypothesizing in case they're not. that would be way more interesting to me than a list of half baked questions that have either already been answered or don't matter.
or what would be even better, given that the "questions Lost still has to answer" columns have been around almost as long as the show itself...how about an in depth look at questions and lingering mysteries that no one gives a crap about and have no bearing on the story? i'm sure i can find a list to pull them from somewhere online...

Since we are so close to the end, I'm totally for a thread hijack. Or possibly a THREAD APOCALYPSE!Matt wrote:...can we limit the fake posts to a one-off joke instead of hijacking a thread?

Random thoughts....theories about the end (yeah, I know...the finale is less than a week away...)
I am very calm right now. I feel like whatever happens...all will be fine. My thought weeks away was
that everyone dies on the island (and it sinks into the ocean), but everyone in LA-X gets re-connected.
The first tv show to kill all of its characters and yet let them all live.
So, if...IF...Smock is to be defeated...if that's the thing, how about going back to the place where his
skeleton is and destroying it? Extinguish him the way Jacob passes on.
All I know is that last night's episode both pummeled through some things AND took its sweet time letting us
connect with our favorite twin. Widmore? Bye-bye. Alpert? Bye-bye. Miles? Hmmm...
And the fairy tale voice in the promo? GO INTO THE LIGHT...

I was a day late watching the last episode so I didn't come in here yesterday.
I'm glad that bullshit list was called out immediately though. I didn't even finish reading it because the first thirty or so were not questions that needed to be answered (outside of the ones that already have been).
To be honest, there's very little else we NEED to know other than what happens next.
All I care about is what super power Jacob has been hiding this whole time that he has now passed on to Jack.
Oh, and this is an actual question I have: Can you BURN ashes?

yeah, people saying he's dead has me scratching my head (pardon the rhyme). we see him get hit by the monster, then...nothing. no body, no follow up. but we're just going to presume the immortal character is now dead? huh? i don't get it...he and Lapidus are going to pop up, kick down the doors and shoot Smokey through the head and say, "it's just been revoked!" you heard it here first!acrouch wrote:Isn't Richard immortal?HerrHerr wrote:Bye-bye. Did it ever actually say they were burning? All I caught was that they were in the fire, and when the fire goes out, so does he.

I think once you kill Jacob you can kill Richard, kinda like a vampire thing. Also, we aren't 100% on Richard being dead, right? Just 99%?
