1) the preview for the recap had some goddamn mystical fairy godmother doing the voiceover copy. what the fuck was that?

2) verizon customers can text their farewell wishes to the show and some will be picked to be shown during the finale??? what the fuck? are we seriously going to be subjected to a motherfucking ticker at the bottom of the screen???
I think with 2 it would have to be either during a small commercial segment or during one of the lesser parts of the "finale event". Don't forget that part of the finale event is to see the pilot episode all over again.
I thought they were dong that on Saturday night. Perhaps I should look at the actual schedule.
D'oh, you're right. It's just a two-hour recap before.

Seriously, what the fuck was that? When it finished, I said, "Thanks, Gollum, for telling us that."

the significance of this has yet to be revealed.

50 Questions Lost Really Does Need To Answer

Wow, that's a lot of unanswered questions and many of them were made to seem vitally important when introduced (and referenced many times after that).

A lot of these... Ok well at least 1/5 of these were answered in last night's episode.

True. The list was posted before last night's episode though. Even with those, that's a lot of unanswered questions.

I am adamantly against this list. I don't like its attitude, its presumptive tone that we all should agree that those particular questions need to be answered. Nobody asked me if all those answers are important to my appreciation of the show*. And frankly, they're not.

Poo on that list. Big smelly poo on that list and those pretentious snot-heads who made it up.

*If they'd asked me, they'd know that the entire list is rendered moot by the blatant exclusion of any question about the Hurley Bird.

Boo to you booing the list. The list got more jokey as it went along (asking if it could go for coffee and possibly biscotti with Juliet), and they're questions the site things should be answered. I don't agree with all of them (I don't really care why Libby was in the mental hospital), but I do agree that I'm going to be disappointed that some questions that were made to seem oh so important won't get answered.

I will poo on that list for all eternity. It has nothing to do with anything. And look what the list has wrought-- it's incited a dumb conflict in which you are actually singling me out to be booed. The list is a bad thing and needs to be annihilated. And remember, for many of the questions, we the audience members have ascribed our own weight of importance to them. With the exception of a few questions that are possibly obviously critical to the fundamentals of the story, the level of importance we deem each question to have is mostly our doing, not that of the producers of LOST.

ANNOUNCEMENT: THE LOST FANS THREAD HAS NOW REACHED FIFTY THOUSAND VIEWS.

That is awesome.

It's a guaranteed fact that no AIC forum thread about a single TV show will ever garner that many views, ever again. It's a fact.

YAY LOST!

Jeff! Chill, broseph!

LOST is about feeling good and shit, bro. There's no need to defend it or attack it - it's a TV show that I get mad rich for writing. It's sad to see it go, but a major relief.

I think you'll be happy with the finale. Bernard and Rose got Desmond out of the well to come party with them and bask in the warm glow of retired life. It's some deep shit, man. Then Locke comes to take him away and shit. I don't want to spoil it, brah. You'll have to check it out this Sunday!

Who wants to go do some shots after?

About the H bird:

OK, so I'm playing Beer Pong with Lindy and we started talking about nature and shit. I don't know, I'm drunk, but I said "Damon, brah, why don't we have more birds on our show?" And he was all, "I don't know, dudeski. Why not?"

And then my mind exploded and I was all, "Shit, man. What if they could talk and shit? What if they could say people's names? What if we got all Toucan Sam on some people?"

That's how it happened. As to what it means, shit if I know.
