I used to think he would somehow end up our first black president in another decade or two. Too late!

Will and I are both from Philadelphia. Just thought I'd brag.

We're this far in and no one has mentioned Will's Wisdom.

Arthur! You and Will are clearly on the same wavelength!

i'm pissed at him, his son, Jackie Chan and anyone else involved in the new Karate Kid for not knowing the freaking difference between karate and kung fu.

WELCOME TO EARTH.

That dude knows how to deliver a big line. Pretty sure he's said "aw HELL naw" in over half his films.

The thing is, The Kung Fu Kid is a perfectly acceptable title for a movie. So yeah, WTF?

Also, here's my general deal about Will Smith: I've always enjoyed him as an entertainer, but I've only ever loved his acting back in 1993 for Six Degrees of Separation. Why hasn't he done a single smart, small picture since 1993? I mean, you know, just to mix it up?

And here's why Men in Black 3 might be good: still directed by Sonnenfeld, still has Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but this time also features Josh Brolin, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Jemaine Clement. And it's written by Etan Cohen (no, not Ethan Coen), who's a frequent collaborator with Mike Judge, and who co-wrote Tropic Thunder.

exactly! the Shaolin Kid, the Wushu Kid, the Wudong Kid, the Glorious Child of the Axe Hand Slap Carrying One Thousand Sorrows...there were plenty of other options!

i used to recite, in its entirety, "nightmare on my street" and "parents just dont understand" during lunch in 4th grade.

i was extremely pleased to find a mintish copy of d.j. jazzy jeff and the fresh prince's "he's the dj, i'm the rapper" on vinyl on the street yesterday. $3. brought it home and just bug bug bugged out all night. it was really sweet actually.

that album came out in 1988 and since then he's had a hit show, huge hit movies, a karate kid, and no scandals to speak of. sure, his music has sucked ever since 1989, and a lot of his movies are complete garbage, but i'd say he's doing pretty damn well for himself.
