Yeah, see, folks, Arthur here gets what I'm talkin' about: The Man in Black is gonna have to either die or rule victorious over planet Earth. There's no more guardianship. No more trapping him on the Island, cause he'll find a way out. That's the whole point of the protagonists crashing on the Island. They're special. They're not like all the other castaways for hundreds of years prior. These are the people whose destiny it is to finally, finally, win or lose against Evil.arthursimone wrote:last night, nearly all shots fired at him went straight through/no effect, but there was at least one that had a ricochet. Personally, when I try to predict how one might defeat The Locke-ness Monster, I fail. I'm afraid the writers' only course available is to bring in some deus ex machina at the last minute which will defeat him... maybe some esoteric old fail-safe that the castaways learn about in the final episode. The problem with that, narrative-wise, is that the audience waits through six entire seasons to find out a solution that we never could have guessed, so the anticipation for the nature of the final face-off is non-existent. What that means is, they'd better make up for that missing anticipation with a raucous-awesome final showdown.
Thoughts, anybody?
Desmond.
He's the key to everything.
Also I like his hair the best. Well among the characters still living anyway.

sideways world. So it's all good.
OR
Desmond makes a big sacrifice to contain smokie, Jack stays on the island, and everyone else is killed.
All characters live and die...
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

I just thought of something.
Did they just kill off the remaining minority characters on the show? At least, in the main timeline? Cause' that's interesting. No, wait, Hurley is Mexican. And Richard is Latino. Okay.
