I've been asked if this theater is a joke due to the April 1st opening and the fact that we're opening very quickly.
I can assure you all that this place is real. There's a real space, real seats, and we're doing real work to make it a reality. I'm not the owner, I'm an employee. I answer to the Owner and the Creative director, both real people. They just wanted to get this project completed as quick as possible, so that's why we're moving so fast.
You are not being fooled. This is real. I promise.
We're still accepting availability until March 20th. All are encouraged to apply.
Thanks.

The Lair
Hello all! Alex Gray here - I am the Creative Director of the Lair, a new performance space we are madly whipping into shape up north in Round Rock. Mike seems to have given the intro but I wanted to be sure to drop by and assure you that this is a real theater with real slots that are being filled by real acts. It never even occurred to me that the April 1st thing could make the project seem like some sort of weird practical joke - it just happened to be the best day for us to open. If anyone has any questions about the Lair let me know and I will do my best to answer. So far the response and support from the community has been truly awesome. Thanks so much for making us feel welcome!
PS: The wiki won't let me tell you how to find the Lair Theater web site but i bet you can figure it out.

Here's the link to our website. It, like the theater is still under construction, but it will give you an idea where we are located and some small blurb about us and our shows.

Thanks!kaci_beeler wrote:The Lair is right by Movies 8 off IH-35?...that's right down the road from my dad's house. Bizarre.
Well, it'll be fairly easy to get him to come to shows there.
Good luck with getting the place all set up. I love the theme!
We're actually a bit before that center. The Lair is in the Shopping center right before the Academy. We're in the center with Half Price Books and the Outback right off I 35.
If you guys are doing work around 5:00 pm on weeknights and need a spare hand for an hour or so, I might be able to help out on occasion. I work RIGHT THERE (as I already said) and it's a hassle to drive straight home during rush hour as I live in south Austin. So I sometimes try to kill time getting dinner, working out, etc. Maybe I could lend a hand here or there.
Any help would be much appreciated!Pdyx wrote:If you guys are doing work around 5:00 pm on weeknights and need a spare hand for an hour or so, I might be able to help out on occasion.
