When Keith Johnstone is here next weekend, he will be directing a very special Maestro at The Long Center. The cast list will be the improvisers enrolled in Johnstone's 4-day Master class. The cast list alone is worth the price of admission.
Come support improv in a new venue. If we have a strong showing, we can try to do more events like this in the future.

Here is an excellent article by Erik Adams explaining just some of the influence of Johnstone.

The Chronicle has an article on Johnstone's visit today, including an interview with Kareem, and quotes from Kaci, Andy, Shannon, Shana, and Jeremy Lamb.

Kudos, and long center improv history
Wayne and you hideout guys did a great job with that article. And the entire week, I've heard so many great things about it, really sorry I had to miss it. I think you did a great thing for our community by making such an excellent week out of it.
Definitely one of the biggest local improv events ever.
re: Long Center Improv, this was the second show there, we opened the long Center with Plays Well With Shakespeare, which was me, Owen and Jodi Egerton, Andy Crouch, Asaf R, and Audrey S, sponsored by Austin Shakespeare.
And to be even older, Big Stinkin Fest (Pruter, Monks Night Out) did shows in the Palmer Auditorium that became Long center, those shows featured Nichols and May, Ana Gasteyer, Will Ferrel, The Impromptones, and some local groups.
