Post by sara farr »

This show, two nights only, is a first for Austin, TX -- an improvised puppet musical! There will be two acts, with a short intermission. Act I will consist of games and scenes based on audience suggestions. In turn, those scenes will inspire the themes in Act II -- a completely improvised puppet musical.

Locally created, produced and directed, this show stars an adorable cast of puppets AND their Austin improvisers.

Director: Valerie Ward
Improvisers: Sara Farr, Madi Goff, Howard Katz, Curtis Luciani, Madeline Malka, Jordan Maxwell, Asaf Ronen
Puppet Tech: Todd Hart
Musician: Michael Brockman

Venue: Salvange Vanguard Theater, 8pm Friday 11/27 & Saturday 11/28

Grab your tickets now, while you still can! Tickets can be purchased at the Event Brite Website -- Crack!

I was at the run-through last night and this show is going to be a whole lot of fun. Nice to see someone tackling the musical form and so much talent involved.

That was my first time seeing Jordan T. Maxwell perform and, good grief, hombre's got pipes, dude's got talent.
First of all:

I am true of heart!

And also:
You are tired.
You are true of heart!

I know Brockman isn't super pleased with me posting this demo (he has high standards, and this thing was made a rough so the actors could learn it), but please take a listen to the Crack theme song. It's really fun.

That was a blast! I recommend people go check out tomorrow night.

One of my favorite parts was Curtis, as the soda-can puppet, in Singing Pearls.

Love this photo--Asaf (and Madi under the purple cloak) are playing a bunch of grapes in this scene.
