Getting ready for Old Year's party

Post by HerrHerr »

Hey, I have Friday off and would like to volunteer my services for a little pre-show, pre-party clean-up/organizing of the space where we'll be playin' and swingin'.

As long as I have enough to get home, shower and return, I'd throw a couple hours toward this.

Anyone else? Supplies? What's the most important stuff to do?

Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

I'm off as well and eager to help since I won't be around the following Sat/Sun for the official Hideout Apprectiation Day. I wanted to hang curtains over the mirror, hang up the white board and a cork board, somehow transport 2 chairs, etc. I can also bring cleaning supplies -- I have broom, mop, sponges, bucket, etc.

Awesome! I get off at about 1 pm, and I'll head to the hideout after that.

Yay. I'm back in town and have very little to do in the next couple days but make this bash sweetass. We've got a writer from the Statesman coming to review the show, which is cool.

I'll be there around 2pm to survey and start cleaning. I'll bring a mop and bucket and a broom. Maybe a couple of other cleaning supplies. Garbage bags. Whiskey.

Just a friendly reminder about what to help bring to the Same Year's Eve (or Old Year's, whatever you prefere I suppose) Show and Party.

-Bring a potluck item (food and/or drink).

-Consider bringing a mix party CD to add to the Hideout Library and supply kick ass music for the night.

-If you would like, bring a boardgame or movie.

-If you want to participate in the White Elephant Re-Gift (we thought this would be fun but it won't work if no one brings anything), bring a gift that costs you $0, like say, a gift you got for the holidays that you'd like to re-gift.

--ITEMS FOR A RAFFLE! We are going to have a raffle for our audience. If you can bring anything, free stuff from where you work, coupons for free items/events, gift cards, a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates, or anything else you think would be a good item for a raffle, bring it! This would be extremely helpful.

-Oh yeah, and if you're staying overnight (which you really should), whatever sleeping stuff if you might need.

Alright, see you there!
