The Starter Kit would be Bob Dylan, John Ritter, Zach Braff, and Jermaine Clement

PGraph would be Naveen Andrews, Lily Tomlin, Seth Rogan and Alyson Hannigan (pictures coming soon)

Girls Girls Girls would be Christina Ricci, Bette Midler, Sarah Silverman, Janeanne Garafalo, and Britany Murphy with accompaniment by Christopher Lee

That is awesome to me.

Michael, I think even secure adults can find those kinds of comparisons discomfiting. If I have a perception of myself in one direction and then hear from others that theirs is the opposite..well then I have to sit with that and go...really? And maybe I have to reevaluate and oh god the time THAT takes.

And actors and comedians do have a tough exterior at times, but also a squishy soft middle.

My old college roommate (an actor, comedian and drag performer) used to say, "I don't care if they are laughing at me or with me, at least they aren't beating me up." That's quite a statement.

Still though, the thick skin required to deal with, say, audition rejection doesn't extend to being able to handle someone saying you vaguely resemble a Muppett?
For every person out there who seems offended by these choices, there's another who isn't. I find this thread humorous, and that's it.

OK - fair enough. I'm not above being hurt or having my ego dinged up a bit either - but I guess one of the benefits of age is having an easier time of saying, "Nope, what you think of me is no longer going to affect what I think of me", especially when it comes to externals.

That bit about your college roommate is just sad, though. "The Fear-Based Life". Yuk.

In the meantime, Julie Lucas will be played by:

Aw! I LOVE her. Big hugs Brocktoberfest!

And my roommate in college was a very very gay man in the deep south. He'd been beaten up in high school. Comedy and performance kept him safe. It ain't perfect, but it was his reality. His outside was hard, you'd never think he cared what people thought. But he did. Many of my good friends in college and high-school had that story. Coming out in the south in the 70's and 80's was damn hard.

But, back to the thread...

Gee Craigy... I don't know the Unibomber very well, but he seems a bit one-dimensional personality wise.

I think I'd rather see Ceej played by Kermit the frog.

That's not so bad. It was just brought to my attention that I (or perhaps a slightly younger I) bear a startling resemblance to Canadian serial killer Paul Bernardo:

I'm flattered! And excited.

I've already sent Ms. Ricci my notes. She's working on her silly-morning-yippie-excited-dance as I type this. Don't let me down C.R.!!!
