PGraph's Personal Fringe Festival

Post by Roy Janik »

Starting this Thursday, and lasting through all of our Thursday shows until the end of the year, Parallelogramophonograph will be launching our own personal fringe festival, PPFF.

Each week will bring a new, crazy format... some attempted only once before, some never before presented in the physical realm.

We don't want to spoil the surprise by revealing the details of every show yet, so stay tuned.

It's going to be a ridiculous ride, and you're all invited.

It all starts tonight with The Ratliff. Jastroch edits all the scenes tonight, while PGraph improvises entirely at his mercy. When we did this (in 2007??) Ratliff toyed with us mercilessly.

In honor of the kick-off, the dance party now has some bass-blastin' techno music.

Seriously fun show. Jastroch took the definition of "editing" rather liberally, sending PGraph on a wild ride of "Cut To"s and callbacks.

The end result was a fast-paced, game heavy show that we probably never would have done on our own, but which was super fun and satisfying to be a part of.

In short, it was exactly the sort of thing we wanted to accomplish with PPFF... shaking things up.

The show was really wonderful and fun. I thought Jastroch was going to explode.

In honor of Jastroch's contribution to PPFF, his bouncing head has now joined the dance party:
