Info coming! We're looking at the Sunday before Thanksgiving for the date, and are working on finding a venue big enough to hold everybody now. We'll have a big thread with the usual potluck happiness pretty soon.

For those of us newer in the community (e.g. me). What's involved in this event? I head from Andy this past week that that's the weekend of wafflefest. Are these events usually combined? Who's usually invited to come? What time and how long is the event? (I for one, am driving back from BGGcon that day).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Traditionally, the event is a combination of a gigantic community potluck dinner and awards show. Wafflefest, while happening the same weekend, is not a part of the AIC banquet. That Sunday is our top choice right now, but we've still got some coordinating to do.zyrain wrote:For those of us newer in the community (e.g. me). What's involved in this event? The event is open to ALL Austin improvisers. In the past, the event took up a majority of a Sunday evening, but we're looking to shorten that time.
Once we have a time and place confirmed, we'll let you know more.
We had it at the Lucas Ranch (so to speak) last year. We are willing to have it here again, unless you need a bigger space.

Thank you for the offer, Julie. It was an excellent location last year and definitely worth considering. We have one other option that we are currently investigating, but we'll get back to you.Jules wrote:We had it at the Lucas Ranch (so to speak) last year.
