This is a totally awesome show. Well written, cast, acting is stellar. 5 star. I have a friend, originally from Austin who has been a secretarial pool extra, she loved it cuz of all the dress-up.

Hands down my favorite thing on TV right now.

Favorite moments in the series to date? Three that come to mind for me are:

1) Betty with the gun in Season 1, with Patsy Cline in the background
2) Don's "carousel" pitch
3) Don introducing himself with Rachel's husband's name at the speakeasy with Sterling and Rumsen
nothing is true; everything is permitted.

I love it and have been completely obsessed with it since last summer. I have to read about twelve commentary blogs after every episode.

My friend and UCB improv maven Dyna Moe is the artist behind the Mad Men Yourself avatar generator, btw.

SO glad to see more people getting into this show! There was a time people just looked at me funny when I mentioned it. I'm not one to follow tv shows but this one keeps me thinking all week long.

Haven't seen last night's yet but am still bristling with excitement over last week's. "Enjoy the liquor and delicatessen." - HA!

If you haven't read any of his posts before, Alan Sepinwall (TV critic for the Star Ledger?) runs a very impressive blog for the shows he enjoys. There's always a post for each episode of Mad Men, and the insight is solid. The commenters also produce some gold each week. In the archives, you can even find some excellent analysis of The Wire.
