Post by PaulM »

Hit the matrix earlier today...damn, if this isn't going to set the bar on film and VFX going forward...

I'll be camping out at the Drafthouse (or the Bob Bullock IMAX) mid-December if anyone wants to join.

This would have been amazing if it had come out ten years ago.

Too early to tell, but there was a lot of build up for a pretty average-looking movie.

I'm still excited to see it for sure. Cameron will always have something to offer in his films, but I hope that this trailer isn't that representative of the actual film.

Eh.

The score sounds amazing.

The avatars look jar-jar-ish.

I'll probably go see it in the theater.

Ditto. I actually described the blue creatures as "grown-up Jar-Jar Binkses"

I saw the trailer in the theater and it looked pretty damn sweet. Just hope it offers something
beyond really good CGI--loke major butt-loving CGI. And a solid story.
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

Does anyone else think the blue things look like Matthew Lillard?

Trailer is alright until they start getting into the point of the movie. Then it gets weird.
