Friends!

Are you tired of other improvisers casually dropping into the conversation that they're going to be in New York for the Del Close Marathon? Do you yearn for something to throw back in their smug faces, something incredibly cool that you get to do and they don't? Look no further!

The next time someone starts running their yap about DCM, make the sincerest, saddest face you can. Then say:

"Oh, that's too bad. You're gonna miss the DIAMOND SMUGGLERS."

That'll plug their piehole.

Needless to say, this will only work if you then actually go to see the Diamond Smugglers at Antone's on August 15th. Lost Soul Revue opens; we'll probably go on between midnight and 12:30.

I don't know how much it is to get in, and I don't know if it'll sell out. I only know that if you miss it, you'll have to put up with two completely different groups of people telling you how much more fun they had than you that weekend, and nobody should have to put up with that.

if you haven't seen the diamond smugglers, you should do yourself a favor and get on it.

i saw these guys as the closing act of SXSW in 2002 (before i even knew ratliff) and it was supes. don't miss this chance to soak up some awesome.

Diamond Smuggler's is good, dirty rock. Come for the music, stay for Ratliff's outfit. It's totally worth it.
