caddies needed!

Post by valetoile »

I'm looking for people to be caddies for this year's festival. Caddies are a big part of what makes OOB one of the best festival experiences for the out-of-town troupes who visit us.

As a caddy, you are the go-to person for one troupe. You'll be available during the festival to help them find rides or bus routes, recommend restaurants and sights to see, and general help them any way you can while making them feel welcome.

It's a really fun opportunity for you, and a great chance to bond with out of town improvisors. You'll make friends for life and get to showcase the awesome city of Austin and talk up our improv scene.

Note: You are NOT responsible for driving them around everywhere, but being available to give them rides sometimes is helpful. You just need to be able to help them find ways to get around the city, whether by you, taxi, bus, walking, or finding them rides with someone else. As hospitality coordinator, I'll always be available as back-up help if you need me.

Not every troupe is getting a caddy this year, because there are just too many. But any troupe who requests one will be assigned one. We've got about three or four troupes already who've requested a caddy.

If you're interested, send me an email, reply here, or pm me. I'll keep this topic updated as much as possible with who needs a caddy and who is assigned.

Yes, the caddy system is something that really helps make Out of Bounds unique and makes Austin look great as a comedy community. There are only three groups requested caddies right now, but that number will grow.

Please consider showing some out-of-towners a good time in Austin while networking yourself to fellow performers in the national community.

New request from BillyHawk of LA. They "would love to hang with a local." Wouldn't you like to hang with two cool dudes from LA and show them all the awesome stuff in Austin?

More troupes will probably be requesting caddies as the fest approaches, so if you're interested, chime in now!

Chasing Dumb of CHicago, starring Austin's own Bill Stern, is looking for a caddy to help them get around town. Who wants a piece of this?
