Looking to set up a sketch show

Post by B. Tribe »

Hey All!

My comedy writing partner/co-founder of Team Boomsplosion! is coming down to visit the first week in August. I'd like to do some sketch performances while he's around. I talked to Andrew Wesley and he gave me some good advice, part of which was to post on here. SO! If anyone has open slots to fill the first weekend in August or needs a 10-20 minute opening act, we'd be happy to jump in. Charging admission would be cool for us but not at all necessary. I'd like to show y'all my chops! Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

(The B stands for Brett. I should probably start writing the whole thing.)

In case Drew didn't mention it (I'm sure he probably did), in addition to this post, try contacting the theaters individually (SVT, ColdTowne and The Hideout) to get added to the availability e-mails they send out. Scheduling right now is fairly set for most of these shows through August, but there's always a change a theater may need a last second substitution.

It's not 10-20 minutes, but SVT has a show called No Shame Theater the first Friday of every month. It's an open mic show where you can get 5 minutes to do whatever you want.

Everyone should go do something at No Shame.
